Richard A. Paul, Jr., CPA, P.C. and KL Accounting, Inc. (Kimberly LaBarge, EA), independently owned accounting firms located in White River Junction, VT, are seeking an enterprising and highly motivated CPA/CPA candidate who possesses the ambition, technical and client-handling skills necessary to become a potential equity partner. The ideal candidate will have financial, accounting, tax and tax planning experience with individuals, LLCs, S and C corporations, trusts and non-profits. Personality, the ability to interact with clients and being a team player are equally important. Salary commensurate with experience. Fringe benefits include SIMPLE retirement plan, AFLAC, vacation and holiday pay.

Skills required include:

3 years of experience in public accounting
CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax (150 credit hours)
Experience with compilations, reviews and other financial statements
Ability to work with Microsoft Office
Strong working knowledge of CCH Engagement or other financial statement software
Strong working knowledge of Lacerte or other high-end tax software
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
Strong tax knowledge at Federal and state levels for individuals, corporations (both Subchapter C and S), partnerships, LLCs, estates and trusts
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines and due dates
Able to be a team player with the ability to manage/oversee and prioritize engagements and supervise/motivate team members.
Excellent analytical and organization skills
Experience: * Public accounting: 3+ years, preference given to those currently in public accounting.

CCH Engagement, Lacerte (or other high-end tax program) and QuickBooks
Microsoft Office
Bonus: * If you have an existing client following, we are open to discussing compatible integration for mutual long-term benefit

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
